🌦️ Montravius Hall Flag Football – Weather Cancellation Policy

At Montravius Hall Flag Football, the safety of our players, coaches, and families is our top priority. Because we play outdoors, weather conditions can sometimes impact our games and practices.

⚠️ General Policy:

We will make every effort to play as scheduled, but events may be canceled or delayed due to:

• Thunderstorms or lightning in the area

• Excessive heat or extreme cold

• Heavy rain leading to unsafe field conditions

• High winds or other hazardous weather conditions

📢 How We Communicate Cancellations:

• Notifications will be sent via [email, text, league app, or social media] at least 3-4 hours before scheduled start times.

• If weather changes rapidly, decisions may be made on-site.

• If in doubt, please check your messages or contact your coach/team rep before heading to the field.

⛈ Lightning & Severe Storms:

• If lightning is detected, games and practices will be immediately paused and fields cleared.

• Activities will not resume until 30 minutes after the last observed lightning strike.

☀️ Heat & Cold Guidelines:

• Practices and games may be modified, shortened, or canceled in the case of extreme temperatures, following local safety guidelines and heat index thresholds.

🌧️ Make-Up Games:

• We will do our best to reschedule canceled games, but make-up dates are not guaranteed due to field availability and scheduling limitations.
